  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am seeing 2 cars, The 2014 3.8 is 45,015K MSRP selling for 34129 75 miles on it.. the 2014 5.0 R Spec is MSRP 48,804 and selling for $36,987 with 2,579 Demo model. I can't tell you what packages is on each. The R Spec says they have it all in it though.

I'd get the R-Spec. $2k more isn't much...

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
R-Specs only come fully loaded.

It's not about the deal, it is about the budget and what type of car you are looking for. Those two are almost polar opposites. If it were me, I would choose the V6, because I am not interested in the harder ride of a sport suspension. However, if the V8 option was a non R-Spec V8, then I would probably go with the V8 car.

I just got almost the same deal for a '14 R-Spec. I preferred the tighter suspension, and I'm a glutton for horsepower.

In the end, go with whichever car takes your breath away the most!

+1

I was looking for comfort as first priority. With the cruddy roads in the Northeast, an R-Spec suspension was out of the question. I would have entertained a 5.0 non-RSpec, but they (unfortunately) stopped making those in 2012.

If you like a stiff suspension, get the 5.0. The price difference isn't much. If you can afford $34k, and you can't afford $37k, then you really can't afford $34k.

One thing to be cautious of is the 5.0 being a demo.

You could talk them down more. My car was stickered at 64k I managed to talk them down to 45500. With the aftermarket rims, winter tires and rims and factory rims included. Then added every bit of extra warranty and coverage I could get. After taxes and interest I will have paid 1000$ less than sticker.

Edit: Canadian prices btw we get screwed on car prices.
