  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My Genesis suddenly stopped connecting to my Droid phone. My phone and Genesis both recognizes the other, but I can no longer connect them. I have had my phone instructions along side the Genesis manual when trying to solve this. But no luck!

Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, MJF

May be due to an update on the droid software. Have you tried deleting pairing on both and starting over? Make sure that after you delete the pairing on both, restart the phone out of range of the car and also restart the car without the phone around. Then start over with clean pairing.

Have you gone to the owners section of the Hyundai website to see if your phone is one of the few confirmed ones that work?

same thing happened to me all of a sudden. I was told to remove the battery in my phone and put it back in.... it worked. no problems now.

Powering down my cell phone, forcing it to re-boot, is sometimes required to get my phone to pair. It works while it's paired but it has never lasted for a full week without loosing it's pairing again. Unfortunately my phone is not one of the few "compatible" phones listed on the Hyundai website. I don't think they so much work to insure compatibility as simply maintain a list of stuff that seems to work.

Thanks everyone! For some unexplained reason, this morning on my way to wrok my phone asked for the 4-digit key code. I entered the code and the phone immediately connected. I have no idea why this happened, but at least now my phone is connected - at least for now.

Thanks again for your ideas. Next time I will try them first.
