  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have hade my 3.8 for about a month now and have only 1 nagging problem: The cars Bluetooth phone does not capture the entire contact list from my cell phone when it connects. It will normally capture from 60% to 95% of the contact list ( the % is entirely random ). The cell phone is an 8530 Blackberry Curve - pretty common - I do not know if this is a cell issue or a car issue. Any help?

Most cell phones will allow you to save contacts to the SIM card memory or to the phone itself.

My guess:
Your contacts may be split between the 2 and blue tooth only transmits 1 of the list.

After a 2nd read of your issue and realizing you said random my theory doesn't seem so good!

Had a similar issue with my blackberry pearl. I found that if I made sure to categorize each contact....and set it to download only the "personal" I would get all my contacts that I selected. If I have it do all, it downloads about 70%.....so there must be some space limitation on the download. Once i picked the important ones for use while driving and set them to personal, all of those download everytime. If I need one of the "business" contacts, I just use the cellphone address book.

I also notice that if there is only one phone number in the contact it will default to "cellphone" on the download. If there are two or more, it will be home/office/cellphone as stored in the phone.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
My wife has a blackberry and it sometimes reboots for no reason and then the connection is screwd up in the Genesis. We would not have a blackberry at all if my wife's employer did not supply it. Blackberries suck as phones. We had to be lightning fast to hit the right button's on the backberry in time to set it up to auto connect when getting in the Genesis.
