  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone else experienced random diconnects with there Bluetooth device ? Mine seems to disconnect every once and awhile. I know it is from the car side because my phone (BB Bold) thinks it is still connected. So I go into phone settings and manually re-connect the phone from the menu.

Any thoughts?

it happens to me too, just about like you describe... i haven't done the DIS software update, anyone know if the new version is more stable in this regard?

I use an iPhone 3G with the latest firmware and occasionally getting dropped. At one point I could not reconnect at all. So I have rebooted the phone and rebooted the Genesis in that order. Interestingly, the Genesis requires a long reboot cycle, about 5 minutes. You can't seem to just stop the engine and immediately restart it and expect to reset all electronics. It's obviously some kind of bug in their BT-stack they need to iron out eventually. I'm sure it happens to other cars equipped with this feature as well.

Was planning to purchase/install a Bluetooth. Should I have the software update installed first. Thank you.

I don't think it has been determined the T-63 Nav update actually fixes this problem. Can anyone that experienced this issue, and updated confirm whether the update fixed this issue?
