  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey, I just got a Genesis 3.8 2013. Whenever I use the Bluetooth, the person I'm talking to complains that they hear an echo when they speak. I hear them perfectly thou. I see some posts from a few years ago regarding this problem but no solutions. Does anyone have the any ideas or feedback ?
Thanks.

It happens to my wife sometimes when using her blackberry. We found that turning the volume down stops it. volume on the phone down a little and the volume in the car.

Correct. Generally the mic circuit is adept at eliminating or reducing feedback. When your called party speaks, it comes thru your phone, and of course then is processed by the phone and the audio is sent to the car stereo system, where it comes out via the speakers. The extra bit of time required for the sound to come out of the car speakers causes a feedback; if it is too loud, the sound is picked up by the mic on the phone and sent back to your caller as audio. If they just spoke then they'll hear an echo if the volume on the stereo is such that it overdrives the noise-cancelling and feedback-cancelling parts of the phone's mic input. As was suggested, turning down the audio on the car stereo will greatly help in eliminating that feedback echo.
