  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Bluetooth Echo?

Hi all,

Just wanted to give an update - unfortunately we are still having this problem.

We have updated the software on my wife's phone, which did not fix it. Her phone pairs perfectly with my car, no echo. My phone, when paired with her car, also has the echo. Adjusting the volume on the car and on the phone does not take care of the problem.

We took it into the dealership, where they were able to confirm the echo. They ordered in a new radio unit and replaced it. After testing that, nothing was improved. They were able to test a Droid phone on Verizon that they said did not show the echo at all. Because of this, they are saying it is our phone/carrier.

The Hyundai website has a compatibility check that shows no issues with the Genesis and iPhone 4/AT&T. My wife basically works out of her car, so this is a huge problem for us. Has anyone else been seeing this? Any other ideas to get this fixed?

Thanks for the input!
Im having the same issue with my 13 Genesis 3.8, so annoying. I brought it to dealar a few years ago and denied it. Im fed up and brought it agian. They replaced the Mic but didn't help. They replaced the radio but didnt help. They are thinking what to do next. I have an Iphone 5c. when I turn down volume it does help a bit but then I cant hear anything..
I just got a Ipone 6s and will see if that changes anything when I get my car back.

so the dealer gave me a new mic and new radio. Still no help. I also got a new Iphone 6s but that didn't help. I tried a new Samsung, also no help. I guess its just a genesis thing... I give up :(

I had no idea this was a common problem. Happens on my '09 Genesis as well. It's almost always only when someone calls me, not the other way around. It always sounds perfect on my end, but they tell me they are hearing every word they say come back to them.

The only way I've found to fix it is simply hang up and call them back. Works every time. Odd :S
