  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is anyone aware of connectivity issues between Blackberry and the Genisis Coupe. I have tried 2 different model Blackberrys (both with issues). Thanks.

I use my BB 8703 with my Sedan,

I would assume both cars use the same Bluetooth support.

You do not state what issues you are having. There is a difference in the bluetooth between the tech package and non-tech packages. I think the non-tech version has a software update available that addresses some issues.

Blackberry 8830 works great in my tech sedan.

I have a bold and a V8 tech and have no problems. THough I found you have to connect to the car via the BB and not the car. I believe I actually shut my auto connect off to establish the connection and then turned it back on after the connection was established. I kept getting connection failed responses without establishing through BB

I got my Genesis, a 3.8 Premium Plus, Saturday morning. I have a Blackberry Storm. The sales rep and I were having difficulty pairing the phone and car so I decided that on the way home I'd stop at the Verizon center. There a tech came out, paired the phone, and al seemed okay as he dialed my phone from his own celll and the car was able to answer.

After several hours, when i went out in my car, I had difficult with the car and phone connecting. Turned the phone and and off a couple times and then the connection must have worked. Somehow I needed to place the call through the phone, but when the other party answered they came through the speakers, along with the radio that was playing.

In my previous car, an 07 Toyota, when I used the phone the radio automatically muted and only the phone conversation came through the speakers. Is that how it is SUPPOSED to work on my Genesis?

Unfortunately, it does not work that way on your Genesis.

so if you are rockin some tunage in the car and a call comes in the call just gets super imposed over the tunage?

Sounds similar to the problem with my coupe. The dealer did a software update but with no success and since has replace the original unit. Try going to your dealership and try pairing your phone with another Genesis on the lot. If your phone pairs with out issue, you know you have a hardware issue.
