  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Having major problem w Bluetooth, NAV, guidance, phone since oil change.

Intermittent & escalating problems...can't phone, no voice guidance, control knob won't do anything, radio then turns on by itself , NAV guidance comes on by itself, cannot end phone calls.

Then everything works fine for awhile. Worked perfectly until oil change. Tech warranty expired 20 days ago. Hoping for goodwill replacement but I think it may be loose connection rather than a faulty nav system.

Anyone have suggestions?

2009 Genesis Sedan 4.6 Tech Package. Screen is not touch screen.

Was oil change done at dealer? If so, I would ask them if them if they updated any software at the same time (before you explain the problem to them).

Done at dealer..they said they just did oil change. Car was ready in less than an hour.

Search the threads. I had mine turn off a couple of times in my former Genesis. There is a voice command to turn it back on. I forget exactly what you have to say. It is a simple two or three word command. The first time I think my partner turned it off. The second time I never fiured out how it got turned off.

I wish it was that simple. The radio won't work, guidance comes on &off on its own, control knob won't do anything....then a few minutes later it all works again.

Maybe I'll trade it in on an Equus like yours.

Thanks for trying to help

If you do get an Equus I'm sure you will be happy. I couldn't be happier with mine.

Pleased to report that dealership fixed the problem at no charge. Disconnected the battery & reset the radio/nav system. All has been working perfectly for a few days now. Love my Genesis again & appreciate the dealership's help.
