  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

i set up my iphone to "pair" up with my genesis with the bluetooth, worked great, had no complaints. I recently broke the iphone and then had to replace it with the exact same phone, but for some reason it won't pick up the blue tooth signal. when i turn on bluetooth on my iphone it says it's "searching...." for devices but the genesis coupe never pops up.

on a similar note : when i plug my phone into the ipod dock, i get a popup message on my iphone that says that "the accessory that i have hooked up to is not compatible and may affect signal strength" please help, dont know how much longer i can go without listening to my ipod on my long drives in traffic.

edit : my iphone has the newest update on it as well.

It sounds to me like you replaced it with a similar phone not the "exact same phone". You probably need to go through the process of setting up a new phone. Even if you put the sim chip from the old phone in the new phone it is a new phone and would need to be set up the way you did the original phone. You might try re-reading the directions on how to set up a new phone.

As for the ipod dock try searching the forum there ar many discussions about this.

You need to delete the pairing on both the Genesis and the iPhone sides, then pair it like you did when you set it up the first time.

And for anyone else who has had a Bluetooth problem since upgrading to iOS 4.0--even if you didn't change phones--same thing applies.

The warning message is typical for the iPod and iPhone when you use a third-party device (i.e. Hyundai's iPod accessory cable) that's not licensed or slightly out of spec. The message changed with the latest OS update; before might have prompted you to switch to airplane mode on the iPhone.

i already got rid of the pairing of the old phone and set it up again, but my new iphone wont pick up the genesis bluetooth signal

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I also deleted the pairing on the iphone and the genesis & the two will not re-pair since the update. Anyone made any progress on resolving this issue?

I just started having the same problem today. The Genesis will not pair up. The phone/blue tooth works in my wife's 350Z, so must be the GENESIS.
