  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have only had the car for a couple of days 3.8 base model sedan and am still trying to get everything to work or at least understand why it doesn't.

1. Does anyone have a bluetooth manual? If so, where can I download it? The big manual references a separate bluetooth manual, but the dealer doesn't have a clue.
2. I have paired one Motorola cell phone, but continue to have problems with "phonebook downloading", periodically even after the phone book has been downloaded and stated that the download is complete. While this "phonebook downloading" is happening, the phone cannot call or receive any calls.
3. I paired a 2nd phone to the system, but do not see any way to download the phonebook from the 2nd phone. Can this be done?
4. I haven't had any success ending a call from the steering wheel. Only by picking up the phone and ending the call. Any other way to do this?
5. Is there any way to get around some of these long voice responses/instructions until the "tone"? On my new Prius, I can simply push a button to skip the message and go to the next step.
6. I have also had occasion when an incoming call is ringing thru the sound system, but I am unable to answer the call by pushing the steering wheel button or the phone button. I finally had to pull over and get out of the car in order to make or receive a call.

Any help will be appreciated.

I'd have to find the manual to tell you some of these answers, but I do know you can just push the button rather than wait for the voice prompt when navigating the BT system.

Two weeks ago I got a 2010 3.8 sedan with GPS, Phone and Bluetooth. It has a voice recognition capability, and our cars seem to have similar features.

My car came with several books. The one you need is the "Digital AVN Systems User's Manual." Are you sure you didn't get it? (Mine came in a black vinyl binder, with the Owners Manual, Warranty Info, Service info, etc.).

If you don't have it, your dealer owes it to you. (It was shipped to you/him with the car).

If you don't have it, and can't get it, let me know and I'll try to contact you with the answers to your questions (lots of typing involved).

Good luck!
