Bluetooth Question

This may seem like a silly question but since I don't know I thought I should ask. I have a Blackberry and have been using Slacker (similar to Pandora) on it. Also, I just bought a Bluetooth Speaker for my deck outside. It allows me to easily connect from the Blackberry to the Speaker and play pretty much whatever music I want.

Now I know the Genesis has Bluetooth Capability for the phone but what about something like this? Will I be able to play music from the Blackberry through to the car stereo via Bluetooth? I suspect that if I can the sound may be degraded some when compared to a wired connection via the AUX input. If this is possible has anyone compared the two to see what the difference in sound might be?

The Genesis' sound systems don't support playing music via Bluetooth.

Well, that is no fun. I wonder if they could update it in some way. It seems like it wouldn't be too difficult if they already have Bluetooth functionality.

So far they're two discrete systems (unlike the really nice implementation in my Prius). The BT module replaces the sunglass holder. When a call comes in you have to manually mute the radio and press the BT button in the module. For every step or 2 Hyundai takes forward there are 2 or 3 steps back. On the other hand, the iPod connector works great and you can also load a USB thumb drive with music and manage it from the radio interface.

The Technology Package has integrated Bluetooth into the audio system, but it doesn't support Bluetooth except to pair with phones for hands-free calling and dialing. The integrated Bluetooth is a feature on a programmable computer, so I'm sure it could be done if Hyundai and Harman wanted to do so.

The non-integrated BT that fits in the cabin ceiling (replacing the sunglasses holder) is OEM'ed, so it would be up to the manufacturer of that system to offer that feature.

Since we're still waiting on a map update to the 15-month old maps on the GPS, and given all of the other minor problems with the audio system that are yet unfixed, I'm not holding my breath.
