Even with my phone volume all the way up, my music over Bluetooth is at a lot lower volume than XM. Is there a way to balance the volume from different sources?

What are you using to transfer the information via Blue Tooth?

is there a setting on the sending device to normalize the sound - that can affect the volume.

I found the "answer" and your reply hinted at it. Volume is fine when I play songs on my iPhone. However, iTunes Radio has Sound Check turned on and, as far as I know, it can't be turned off. The result is that the volume for iTunes Radio is low. This is an issue that Spotify had that was later solved by them upping the volume equalized to. I hope Apple fixes this. I like iTunes Radio but this is annoying.

I play iTunes radio through my car stereo using an FM Transmitter and have no issues with volume. My car is a 2002 Honda Civic SI and has none of the bells and whistles of todays car. Hence the need for the FM Transmitter.

SR22pilot - I have the exact same issue with my 2013 rspec (same as your white with cashmere). The Lexicon is an awesome system. I just assumed that the lower volume on the streaming iTunes Radio, and streaming Grooveshark playlist and/or radio has to do with the streaming. The quality of the streaming bluetooth music from the iPhone 5 is not near as clear as when using the stored mp3's, XM, and FM sources.

As a result of the difference in sound quality between streaming vs XM/FM/MP3 I have pretty much defaulted to not using the steaming sources. There is a major difference IMHO between the same song played on XM/FM/MP3 vs streaming on Grooveshark. Regards.

drpearso - I have been pleasantly surprised by the ability of iTunes Radio to rediscover songs I have forgotten. However the volume issue is very annoying.
