  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I did my first oil change last week and had to remove the plactic air shield under the front of the car. When I did this I noticed one of the bolts was missing.

Can anybody tell me exactly what size bolt this is - I would like to get a replacment.

I think the bolt heads where marked with the #4.

They are 10 mm "cap screws"

Hyundai uses them everywhere

I bought some at the dealer for spares

**** 10 mm "head"

I bought extras from dealer too. Also bought some for my Mercedes at Merc dealer. They are not expensive so I bought a bag of them.

Can I get these anywhere else? Are there other places?

You are in luck - Google part no. 11254-06207-B -- lots of hits - Hyundai's are held together by these things.

The plastic push pins can be gotten on Ebay -- listing No. 371222529360 -- I wouldn't even think about re-using them - in a word - they are lousy fasteners.

The "head" of the cap screw is 10 mm. I just checked one with a 10 mm metric nut driver. I have a package of the referenced 10 mm cap screws in front of me and the part no. for a package of six is 11254-06207-B, as stated, but may be an old no.

These little machine screws are very generic, however - used everywhere on Hyundai's ---- so just do a search for "10 mm cap screws" on Ebay and you can get a whole bag for $5.
