Been here awhile...
Hello,
I have a 2009.. with 76K on it. My brakes are starting to feel not quite as smooth as they used to be. The dealer has on my oil change paperwork that I will be needing brake replacement in the future.
Has anyone replaced their brakes yet? Did you use aftermarket pads or did you stick with the OEM pads. The rotors and pads h
ave been GREAT. My last few cars... I would only get 40K - 50K out of my brakes. I do drive the Genesis a little differently than those cars though...
Does anyone know if your rotors can be turned/machined? I have heard some people say some cars come with rotors that cannot be turned. I did notice that online rotors are about $150 each for factory ones. I think I may want to stick with the OEMs...like I said - I have never had brakes last this long...and stay this smooth.
Also- anyone gotten any quotes for a brake service from their dealer? I have always replaced my own, but I would definitely entertain the dealer doing it if it is reasonable.
Thanks everyone and take care,
Bob Hall
