  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Absolutely!! :)

Not always gunning it. I’ll go to 93 and Map 2 during the winter.

I do very low miles...so the booster is no biggie. Otherwise...I wouldn’t do it.
Any problems at all so far or is the JB4 super reliable, its my first time ever modding and tuning a car so im just being careful but any precautions to take moving forward? After I install the spark plugs and JB4 I plan on doing the lap3 downpipes with the highflow cats, any effects on the way the jb4 would run with these additional mods

How about on 93 octane (all I have here in GA in my area) guesstimate

I run on 93 octane and Map 2 as DD
I did dyno my car and the gain was noticeable, like a LOT! lol

The 1st run was the base, measured in HP.....the 2nd. Map1, 3rd. Map2 were WHP

Wow thats really good, I assume you don’t have any mods other than the jb4? I’m really hoping to get at least 400 whp

None whatsoever. JB4 is very safe.

As for other mods...I cannot comment. Visit the JB4 forum.

Jeez! you have the g70 right? any idea on your 0-60 time and 1/4 mile?
Not 1/4 mile...but after a ton of tries (tough to launch this AWD)...I’m between 3.8 and 3.9 seconds to 60.

If I did the burn-out switch (I’m not...research on JB4 board)...I’d probably be 3.7...perhaps better. I haven’t even played with Map 5 !!

Thats insane 🤯 since I have the RWD I’ll probably have too much wheel spin to get a good 0-60 time huh. Jb4 sounds very effective Im excited to receive mine

No, just the JB4 but with the mixture of E85+93=~97 octane, I run Map5 and my G80 sport goes 0-60 in 4.4sec.

Here's the 2nd. dyno we pulled with mixed fuel.....1st run was the base HP.....2nd. Map3, 3rd.Map5

Just ordered my JB4 with the spark plugs from BMS for my G70 3.3t Sport RWD 😄
any idea how much power I’ll have since i have the BMS intakes and a catback exhaust.
I have bms intake and jb4. Run 91 on map 2 and it is a massive difference. Being you have even more flow for exhaust I’d say you could be upwards of 400ish wheel on map 2 if you can find some 93 or run an octane booster.

What method gets the best launch for your?

I mess with Launch Control...but also traditional brake launch with nannies on. Also manual start in 1st to high RPM and then quickly put it back in auto.

I did this back in March/April...and don’t mess anymore. I got what I wanted...now I just enjoy 😊

I know about the burn-out switch...but I’m not that desperate!!

I don't blame you. So far, I've read that at least 2 Stinger owners are now having weird transmission noises and loud, hard clunking after using the burn out switch/brake cut mod. It happened after they had been power braking for more than 4-5 seconds or so. One of them even had his center differential replaced, yet it still does it. I think it can break the transmission. :c

That said, for me, I think it's best to just stick with the OEM launch control, despite it not building boost.

Question for you guys... I’m running map 5 with Denso plugs gapped at .022, fuel wires and an E30 blend. Would there be any reason I couldn’t add Boostane to up the octane more while running the E30 blend? The Boostane bottle states.. “stabilize against ethanol supplementation” and I don’t want to run into any issues mixing everything.

What is your current octane level after all the math?

So Map 1 netted about 1.4 WHP?

No need for more octane...unless you feel hesitation...or the ECU is cutting out.

I’m at 99 octane but never tried Map 5...no need for me.
No issues that I’m having. Just wondered if more octane would net more power. Thanks Beefer.

It does...but you hit a point where it simply becomes too expensive :(

Look at the BOOSTane chart...the difference between 99 and 100 octane. Almost double!

That’s why I do 99 octane. Anything more is insane.
