  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It does...but you hit a point where it simply becomes too expensive :(

Look at the BOOSTane chart...the difference between 99 and 100 octane. Almost double!

That’s why I do 99 octane. Anything more is insane.
Yeah I agree! Especially when filling the tank every two days on a DD.

I refill once every 2 weeks!! o_O
Man that must be nice!! Actually, I’m glad that I’ve started using the E30 blend. I save just a tiny bit at the station when I fill up.

So Map 1 netted about 1.4 WHP?

No, Map1 and Map2 were measured in WHP not HP. It depends on the drive-train loss, it could anything between ~10 to ~20%. Let's say we lose ~15% out of 356hp = 53hp....add this to 357hp= ~410hp and that is on Map1
Map2 was 382hp + 15% - ~57hp= ~439hp

I hope that make sens, lol

What’s the difference between base and Map 1 then? (Since both are whp)

Base is always measured in HP, not WHP.... so base 353hp - 53hp (~15% loss) = ~303WHP

It was explained to me by guys that own the shop and dyno my car. If you know something that I don't, please share.

I think the answer is he doesn’t know. If the car was dyno’d with the runs aligned on the graph then all the results should be whp. There is no way they did a base run that measured crank and then the next two were whp. The crank rating from the factory is 365 and the base line I believed showed 356hp. The. Map 1 at 357. Would love it if your guy can explain chart for us. Also is this a dynojet. Mustang dyno? The latter is known for more conservative numbers. Thx

Not 1/4 mile...but after a ton of tries (tough to launch this AWD)...I’m between 3.8 and 3.9 seconds to 60.

If I did the burn-out switch (I’m not...research on JB4 board)...I’d probably be 3.7...perhaps better. I haven’t even played with Map 5 !!
did u use a dragy to measure these times?

So the one constant I have seen amongst every dyno run is all number are wheel hp. I don’t know what the exact drive train loss on my car is (3.3 rwd ). And with that being said I can not give an accurate answer on crank power but dynos do measure wheel. So if you go back ask for all whp numbers

Update on my fuel wire issue from the other week- has to take my car to the dealer for an oil change. Removed the tune and one of the connectors actually had fallen off of the wires. After I brought everything inside and fixed all connections with solid crimps it is working as it should Afr is staying in the high 11s to mid 12 range Honestly can’t tell a difference as far as performance when adding them on the same map with same fuel but it is probably something that translates into a faster E/T by one maybe two tenths

You'll only notice the extra power on higher RPMs at full throttle.

I’ve had it WOT a few times since I’ve corrected the issue. Feels the same to me lol. I wasn’t assuming it was going to be much if any noticeable increase like changing fuel and maps is

The car is already fast without the fuel wires. You'll probably only see the gain on a dyno and in a drag strip!
