  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There is a midnight mayhem event this coming Wednesday in Las Vegas if anyone from here wants to meet up out there. I’ll be trying it out to see if any times change from last time I was out there. Also ordered catless midpipes from
Ark and should have those hopefully in the next two weeks or earlier since im
Very close to Cali. Will be running those in October at the same event

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I know this might be the wrong thread for this but just real quick could anyone answer why the car came from factory on lower boost levels than the jb4 can make it capable of? Any real facts that anyone has talked to Genesis Motors or etc. if you catching my drift haha. Im just curious because if its capable of high boost why didn’t they put the car on the market that way? Thanks!

That's every manufacturer. Nobody maxes out their boost unless they want reliability issues nowadays.
Unfortunately for us, the Koreans rate them close to what they are compared to the Germans.
Which means, you can get more from a BMW which is already underrated!

Is their an installation guide for the JB4 with the fuel wires included? I can’t seem to find a video on YouTube. I get my JB4 tomorrow does it come with instructions?

I believe it says if you already have the fuel wires installed on the tune itself skip to minute 4 in the video to see where to hook them up on the harness

I need some serious help with this jb4 im getting really frustrated trying to find the OBDII and where the heck do I route it to get it to the jb4 in the engine bay

Under the steering wheel...to the left. You will clearly see the connector.

As for feeding it to the engine bay...you will see a big grommet...that is your only access point. It has to go through/around that grommet to the engine bay.

Took me a f'ing hour to do it...HATED it.

Yup thank you definitely a bitch to do i got it through now i gotta grab it through the engine bay side

Installing the jb4 along with the fuel wires and having to connect the wireless phone app connector to the jb4 as well was all in all a pain in my ass, either im just not used to doing this kinda stuff (only 19 lol) or its just pretty hard, i just now finished.

Okay so I just went for a test run and had a problem with the app, it connected fine and put me on map one but the rpm and other diagnostics remained at 0

Alright all you JB4 guys. I live in Los Angeles. So wall we get here is 91 I believe. I wan't to get a JB4 for my G70 3.3 RWD. Car has almost 1k miles on it currently. I'll prob update the plugs as well. My question is, is it worth getting the JB4 just to run it on map1? I'm not going to mix octane and all that, don't have time and don't really care. Just want a bit of more boost and power to this baby. Don't have any mods on the car, car is completely stock. Is it worth it? I just wan't to run something steady a bit more boost as long as it's reliable. Also does map 2 make any sense with just 91 octane? Any input would help.

I've had this "problem" with my unit. Try to wiggle and/or disconnect the cable near JB4 box, even use electric tape around it, it seems that it's little lose, restart the car and see if all gauges are working. Try several times and if that won't fix it, email their tech support and they'll send you another cable.

91 octane is fine with Map 2, that's how they test their Stinger with jb4 mod, they're in Cali as well w/o access to 93

Get the new (better) plugs, regap them to .022 and run Map2 all day long, you'll love it. Forget Map1, lol

I got it fixed already thanks though i forgot to come back and edit my post, turned out the OBDII cable was just not plugged in correctly. Working fine now.

Oh really? Damn that sounds great. I guess I'll give it a shot. Do you guys recommend getting the Bluetooth version or just the basic version of the JB4. Since im not going to be tinkering with much, I can just use a laptop and plug it in when needed? What do you guys say?

You just saying that now, lol ..... get the Bluetooth/app so you can switch between Maps on the fly. Running Map5 with ~98 octane its a LOT of fun, believe me :D

Hows the difference between map 0 and map 2
Then the difference from map 2 to map 5

Two pages back, I posted two different dyno sheets running Map 1, 2 and 3, 5

This is Map 2 on 93 octane vs. Map 5 on mixed fuel ~97 octane

Can you physically feel the power difference or is it only on paper?
