Got the spark plugs today waiting for the tuner, On average how much am I looking at for a mechanic to do the plugs for me? Some place said it'd probably take 4 hours so it'd be $350 but seems way high to me

When I had mine replaced, the mechanic said it took him about 1.5 hour.

I did it myself and took me about 2 hours the first time. I could do it in 30 min now.

If you're feeling brave, there is a video out there on it. With that being said, I believe my best friend and fellow G70 owner Usman McGillicutty (who owns a JB4 that's not installed yet) is taking his to a shop.

Ended up doing it with my dad and got it working. My issue now is with my app getting stuck at "Awaiting JB4 handshake" in the connecting process then it fails, Sucks the app is $27 as I want to test it on my dads phone as well. I can see the JB4 in my bluetooth devices and on my bluetooth scanning app but it just won't let me connect. Anyone have any ideas? I've tried putting my phone right next to the JB4 it just says Can't complete connection process to JB4

Yep i've went around with it and test drove it. 100% has more power but i believe it's default on Map 1. I left the engine on for about 10 minutes while trying to connect. When my engine is off I get a "No JB4 devices found" when I put it on I go up to the connecting etc then at the handshake part it fails.

Try turning everything off (car, Bluetooth, location services, jb4 app). Now turn on Bluetooth and location services.. turn car on.. open jb4 app.

No luck I took the phone out of the equation I tried it on my dad's and brothers both tried that step and all of them fail at awaiting handshake after 20 seconds or so. Tried reinstalling the wireless adapter and it's connected fine 100%. The light is off on it not sure if it's supposed to be but I did notice that

I don't see my issue listed sadly not sure which would apply to me, See attached pic this is the 3rd phone we tried it on. My phones see the JB4 in Bluetooth settings and on the Bluetooth scanning app I downloaded but they all fail at Awaiting handshake (5) after about 20 seconds. I'm emailing the app developers to hopefully get some help and see I've tried having my brother hold the JB4 away from the engine / moving it around to different locations just in case something is interfering. Hoping i can maybe order / buy a wired connection kit from someone so I can at least swap the mappings.

I have hooked the 2 cables up, one in the front, one in the back of engine, car starts and no errors. But the jb4 app fails at handshake

@jwalkingjon what firmware version do you have? Go to the settings. Also, did you buy new or used?

I bought this new from Khartuner or at least I believe it's new pretty sure. Also how do I check the firmware right now in the app it shows as ---- not showing a number the app build is A333. How would I see the firmware?

Are you trying to connect through your bluetooth settings in your phone? If so, you should be connecting directly through the app and no where else.

Turned out to be the Bluetooth dongle was defective. They sent me a new one and it works, I was connecting from the app but it just got stuck and the handshake part
