  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Buy a 2011 4.6 discounted or wait for a 2012?

Ok I just got my new Genny! 2011 4.6 white with beige interior. Picked it up last week. Brand new, extended the warranty to 10/100,000 on everything, paint package, lifetime oil changes not only on my Genny, but also on my other 2 vehicles because of the purchase, and finally lifetime repair on the paint (2 occurances per year for as long as I own the car). Total price out the door, tags, title, reg, plates, and tax, $48,760. $20,000 down, and .05% the whole term. Couldn't resist. The 2012 would have been about $4000 more with untested features like the tranny. Wanted to wait for a 12 but couldn't pass up this deal. By the way, I LOVE this car!!!!!

Do you know what is the minimum credit score to qualify for Hyundai advertized financing rates?

Do you know what is the minimum credit score to qualify for Hyundai advertized financing rates?

usually 650 but i did not ask my hyundai dealer as i was 775.
i think most people qualify.

I've read somewhere that scores of 725 and up usually qualify for low lease rates and low financing (tier 1). Mine is 712, just dropped 25! points because of the new Macy's credit card furniture purchase. I want to get a pre-approved financing before I buy the car (just in case), but most likely multiple inquiries will lower credit score even more.

So, rebate of $1500 and low financing offer don't exclude each other?
Usually, manufacturers offer either rebate or low rates.

the 2011 is a very good deal now because you can pile on the savings:

$1000 factory to dealer incentive
0% financing for 36 mo
1500 competitive rebate
500 military
400 recent grad

the first 2 are not available on the 2012.

I work for a Hyundai Dealer in chicago; the Min.Score to qualify is 680 for the Hyundai Special Rates. As for the discounts, the 2011 value is HUGE. $1000 Finance Rebate, $1500 Competitive Owner/Owner Loyalty, and great rates. A no-brainer if you love the car..!

Tony:welcome:

New to the forum...thanks for all the input. These posts were back in the spring....I am having the same debate now. What do you think I should look to pay for a 'demo' 2011 with 1000 miles on it? If $37k in the spring, maybe $34? $35? now?

thanks

Mine was/is a 2011 4.6 $35k demo with about 3'500 miles. I was waiting to see what the new Azera was like but when you throw in the available discounts ($1'500 Hyundai loyalty + $1'000 if you finance part it) it almost became a no-brainer.
