  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Buying a '12 Hyundia Genesis - Need help and opinions!

Re: Buying a '12 hyundai Genesis - Need help and opinions!

Yes and yes. I've got a b to b warranty for six years starting last Thursday, or 148,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Are you sure? They didn't offer me this. Maybe I should inquire about that option. I wouldn't mind paying an extra $400 for 2 more years or double the miles.

They offered me a similar Zurich warranty (100K/5 years) bumper to bumper but it starts from the day of purchase and includes the amount of miles that the car has already. So...

100K-34K = 74,000 miles OR 5years-1year(existing Hyundai warranty)= 4 years

74K miles/4 years for $1895 - $400 ("discount") = $1495

Yes, I'm sure. I specifically asked about that. The sales mgr even calculated how many miles a year I'd have to drive to equal 100,000 miles in 72 months (16,666 miles). For someone who drives more than that a year, the warranty would expire in less than 72 months because they would drive more than 100,000 miles. I told him I typically drive less than 10,000 miles a year and he said that I should get the full six years of the warranty, since that would only be 60,000 miles.

Gotcha. I'll make sure to ask about that option. I'm also thinking of doing the tire/wheel package which adds another $400.

oh and Congrats on your new purchase as well. Glad you got more money for your Caddy, which is still saving you money!
