Hi Guys,
1st - Let me say, this forum rocks. Thanks for being so kick ass.
2nd - I have a '13 rspec sedan and I have gotten into two accidents (one my fault) in the past 6 months, and have two insurance claims out for each. In total, my front and back bumpers have taken damage to the parking sensors, and my front left quarter panel needs to be replaced.
3rd - I found a 2012 rspec in Houston with flood damage, link here, and was wondering if you think the parking sensors would be messed up to pull from the salvaged car?
The reason I'm considering, is that the payout from the insurance is $2K plus, and I could buy the parts new, or if this worked, have an extra salvage car for parts, in case I do some dumb shit later on.
Has anyone tried this approach, and/or have suggestions on what they think I should do?
One friend suggested that I just take it to the Hyundai collision center, and go the standard route to ensure i get all new parts, but I could save some serious money if the salvage worked, (even with shipping the car up from ATL to Boston)
Thoughts?
Greatly Appreciative,
