Can head-up display be adjusted to work with polarized eyeglasses?

Exactly. Plus, just how many speedometers do you really need in the cockpit. The HUD is just a gimmick. Makes folks think they are jet pilots like Tom Cruise.

I've owned several vehicles with HUD it is my preference to have it, not because it is a gimmick or I think I am Tom Cruise, but because I don't have to look down at my dash, all the info I need is in my line of sight.

I could care less about the speed, I know how fast I am traveling based on the traffic around me, I maintain pace with the flow, don't care about the posted limit. However the SCC, BSD, and LKA features in the HUD are valuable information to have and not have to look down or search for in the cluster.

Word has it being like Tom Cruise would b e a step down for you. True?

I’m Army, not Air Force. We train ourselves to know where things like speedometers, rear view mirrors, etc. are located in vehicles and we don’t need redundant systems, nor do we have any problem finding the info on the dash. Polarized glasses are a great safety and comfort invention themselves. They are much more important to me than HUD.

Maybe it's just the way I drive, but the steering wheel and/or my left hand (when I drive with one hand) block the speedometer in many cars I drive, so having the HUD is quite useful even if all it displays is the speed.

No. All HUD's do not work with polarized glasses. Do like others and get a good pair of driving glasses (like Seregeti Drivers).
New Navigator (& Expedition?) head-up display is not dimmed by polarized lenses.

Yes, that is what I did. I have transition lenses and they are on my face all the time and use the HUD all the time too.
Try the Eye Depot (the old train station) downtown Bradenton across from Champs Sports Main Office. Good guy runs the glasses section (A neighbor of mine) does an excellent job on my glasses and I just started my 61st year of full time glasses use. He is cheaper than the Chains and although not a one-hour place his turn-a-round is pretty quick.

Are you says there is no dimming at all or that they start off so bright that you can still make out the display when they are dimmed? Do you have a Navigator?
