  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Where did you find that and can you please express more?

I don't see it at Hyudai's USA web site but if you go to www.hyundaicanada.com and look at the specs for the Genesis you will see LSD listed under the 4.6 package. I believe the US 4.6 models has the LSD feature too just not listed.

Here is an easy way to tell.

Next time your at a stop sign or intersection....POWER BRAKE your car, if you feel the car drift left or right...you have the coveted LSD...However, if only one wheel spins really fast...you do not and you can get your car stuck on a 6" x 6" patch of black ice. HA!! The folks with LSD can only get stuck on TWO patches of ice....

That was really stupid....sorry :) Well, you get my point, just light up the tires and you'll figure it out rather quickly.

Or those with LSD get stuck on one big patch:D

As a long-time Deadhead, I had the same initial reaction, Rob. But that's a story for another day entirely.

[Although, just in case any Dead fans are on this forum, a short spring tour was just announced. Details @ dead.net. I'll be seeing at least six of the 19 shows. Miss ya, Jerry...]

Thanks for the heads-up. Hyundai does a great job of burying this bit of info. True LSDs are increasingly rare these days. Many companies skate by with electronic traction control, sometimes enhanced to serve as an "electronic limited-slip differential" (eLSD). But not the same thing.

Also in advertising they mention it
"The V8 4.6L Tau twin-cam, 32-valve, 100% alloy engine produces a stunning 375 horsepower @ 6200 rpm with 333 lb-ft @ 3500 rpm. Coming with a ZF 6-speed SHIFTRONIC® transmission and an LSD rear wheel drive."
