  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all.
Question please: I know the front parking indicators have a volume control for the beeping sound.
It appears the blind spot rear indicator beeper does not have volume control. Is that right or am I missing something? Love the feature, but would like it at a little less volume. Thanks all

+1 The sound is way too loud.

dont think it can be lowered but it can be turned off through the menu buttons on steering wheel under sound-blind spot detection- unclick box
you still get the warning lights on mirrors

Yup - It's in the menu options on the steering wheel!

I have looked carefully in the steering wheel menu.
There is volume control for front parking sensors, but not
the rear blind spot. You can uncheck the rear warning to turn off only.
Please tell me how you did it. Thanks much

Thought so. Thanks

My bad! I thought you were referring to the parking sensors. I don't see a way to change the volume on the rear warning.

I think it's meant to be loud as in... Danger, Will Robinson, Danger.:D:D:D

i turned the sound off. My steering wheel still vibrates, and the lights blink on the mirrors. That's enough for me. Don't need an alarm each time i use my blinkers.

I put my blinker on to let other drivers know of my intention, even if someone is in the way.

You mean you don't put the blinkers on only *if* someone is in the way??

Exactly. And the loud warning startles me and could cause an accident

Imagine getting the warning in the middle of the night with no one else on the road. I almost crapped my pants!! 😱

It might be better to drive in such a way that the warning does not go off. In my G70, it only warns me when I needed a warning. I am glad it was loud enough to get my attention and scold me. Want to please my car.
