Can we get a For Sale section in this forum?

Im sure its been brought up before, but how can we go about selling Genesis items? I have a sunroof wind deflector that came with the R Spec. I dont like them and want to sell it. Admin, will you consider doing this? Thanks

The reason a for sale section makes sense is because it builds a sense of community. We like to help each other out and would rather have it go to a fellow member than a jerk off from CL or eBay....

Suggestion for implementation... this might actually help drive traffic, and user involvement - not to mention allow MODs to sticky items in the proper location, and build a more user friendly forum.

An additional section should be formed to house all related industry news, manufacture related news, and misc OT threads.... call it what you will....

A dedicated "For Sale" / "Black Market" forum where members can list car parts, cars, or non automotive sales..

Lastly, there should be a "Region" section, where members can post threads for meet information, or if they need help, DIY - whatever...


All of this functionality is possible with vBulletin.

An additional thought... most forums are setup this way - by implementing this setup it will make the transition to the second generation sedan and coupe easier (which is only a short while away)...

I always found it strange that this forum does not have a "Fore Sale" area, just about every other automotive forum has an area for its members to sale and buy parts.

I remember on the clublexus forum, the sale area was one of the fastest moving areas on the site (ie You post your for sale item and within minuets it would be on the second or third page) that is how fast some for sale areas move!

Forum vendors need to stay on top because we can bearly get any. They need the incentive... Vendor reviews can really be done anywhere and if somebody searches they'll find it. We can discuss this more if need be and make it phase 2... Do we need a For Sale AND Wanted? Because we could just use "Thread Prefixes" for that. And I think less forums means less clutter...

I think I'll leave the Lounge the way it is for the time being. The more important stuff should get done first...

In regards to Tires, Wheels and Suspension... Is this going to be performance focused? As it stands I have Brakes and Suspension in one area and Wheels, Tires and Detailing and Appearance Modifications as separate areas.

Should I separate Wheels, Tires and Suspension (performance) and Wheels, Tires, Detailing and Appearance Modifications (appearance) into two separate areas?

Right now all the Audio/Bluetooth/Electronics stuff is in one area... That's going to be a fairly big undertaking for somebody to move out all the topics into their proper areas...

So do I have any takers to work that out? Making this change happen is going to require one or two people to jump on board and move topics from one forum to another...

I'll make the forum changes but I need help with moving topics to keep everything organized...
