  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Picking up my 2010 V6 Premium Tuesday. Really jazzed! :D

Have been reading through this forum for weeks and weeks both pre & post purchase to learn about the car. What a great resource.

Questions for anyone who has taken delivery of Canadian 2010 V6 premium:

- Does the XM navtraffic work here in Canada? Is it included in the XM package? (I'm in Toronto area)
- New touch screen NAV: does it have Canadian POI (points of interest) and are they decent? (often Canadian content is somewhat overlooked)
- Was the 'speaker cover' installed in the trunk? (noted in a number of 'early' posts that this was an issue)

Thanks all!

1. XM Navtraffic is available in Mtl, To and Van. Unfortunately, Hyundai does not give with 3 month free subscription, so you will have to call XM @ 1-877-438-9677 for activation.
2.Canadian POI most assuredly is available.
3.Have no idea about spkr cover. Will have to check when I go to car. I cannot imagine they wouldn't have a baffle on it.
These and many other questions can additionally be answered in your manuals, your dealer rep/service tech and certainly right here in this forum. I've gotten more than my share of answers since getting my Gennie last week. Good luck.

Merci mon vieux. Yes I've been watching a number of your posts and replies.

I thought I saw somewhere that XM NavTraffic was included with the Sedan...perhaps only on US models?

I got 3 months free subscription to XM when I took delivery of my Genesis.

The depth of the Nav. POI for both Canada and the USA continually amazes me! Want a car wash in an unfamiliar town? Just call it up and voila, every wash station in the area is listed.

My car did not come with the speaker cover, but once I raised the issue with my dealer (after reading about it here) they contacted Hyundai and one was installed at no charge the next time I had the car in for service. I believe that all late 2009 and 2010 models have this fitted from the factory.

Congratulations on your purchase.

Thanks CanukV6 Great to hear. Did the NavTraffic work for you in Beamsville (now THAT would be impressive, assuming you have traffic :D).

Assuming your NAV is DIS given your join date? Hopefully touch nav POI is equally well 'informed'

Well there was a guy stopped outside the feed store that showed up on the screen briefly......:D

The Navtraffic seemed to work OK but sometimes had trouble knowing the difference between dense but moving traffic and actual traffic jams. I didn't continue the XM subscription after the 3 month free trial as I find the regular radio stations more useful for traffic news (680AM) and entertainment is covered by radio, CD and plug-in MP3 player.
