I have a 2013 Hyundai genesis sedan automatic. Been trying to use the shift, but for some reason, can't hit it right. Help if can thanks.
I mean when I shift up,do I let go of the gas and then shift,or do I Still press on the gas while I shift

What has the highest 1-2 shift regarding RPMs. It is the manual shift mode or auto shift? One of the ways the shift point is earlier than the other
i got the base model, so i dont think i have a sport mode. I just be pushing it to 6000 rpm
Let me elaborate on what I called sport mode - when pressing the gas pedal all the way down, the last 5 mm you can hear a click, like a mechanical switch is triggered. That is the "give me all you have" switch - downshift to the lowest possible gear to give you the highest rpm. It will also upshift at highest possible rpm while you keep it pressed like that (~6500rpm).
Wasn't that called overdrive at some point? And we are talking about with the car running, in drive, you're flooring it?
Correct.Overdrive is really the exact opposite as it is the highest gear that allows the engine to operate the lowest possible revolutions generally for highway cruising and improved fuel mileage.
