  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well I took car to dealer for roof rattle & headlight aiming, they were waaaaay to low from the factory. Both issues had to be resolved by a Tech they brought in from corporate. Service mgr said that the lights ended up getting raised 3 degrees from factory setting?? I will say there is a noticeable improvement when driving at night and no one has flashed their high beams at me. The roof rattle was corrected by realigning, lubing, and replacing the side skirts(?) as well as replacing the air deflector/bug catcher on the front. Car is tight and quiet going over any road surface so far. All other recalls were done before I leased it and I'm on the list for tire replacement when they come in. I gotta say I loved my '13 R-Spec but this car is at another level in everything but stereo as I do not have the Ultimate.

Glad to hear you had success with headlamp aiming. Noticed that on mine the night I brought it home. Had it at the dealer this past Friday to adjust them. Was told they were at factory specs - nothing else they could do. Not an acceptable response since I can position the Genesis next to my wife's RAV and see that the beam extends further out on the RAV.
Next closest dealer is 50 miles away. I'll try them or start tinker with them myself.

It is interesting how Hyundai screwed a lot of loyal, returning, Genesis owners out of the 17 speaker audio system, not to mention the beautiful leather dash of the 1G cars. I was smitten by the leather dash. Like the 1G grill(s), Hyundai giveth and Hyundai taketh way.

I got to ride in a '15 to lunch, owned by a co-worker. It rode nice. Nice like mine. I still think most of the ride converts are coming from an R-spec. Is it me, or does the dash area protrude into the passenger area more than the G1?

I was also told the lights were in "factory specs". I responded that the pano roof must also be in factory specs and rattles! Service Mgr got the hint and pulled a new sonata w/HID's next to my car. We carefully measured out 15ft to a building wall. Wall is cinder block so we had a level line to guide us and we were on level ground according to iPhone app. The Genny was lower by about 3/4's inch. Press the issue!! They can override the factory specs.

It does seem like the dash has a bigger "presence" in the cabin.
