Hi! I’m wondering if anybody else has had similar issues with their Genesis Gv80. I purchased this car BRAND NEW from our local dealership in May 2022. When I got the car, one of the keys wasn’t working correctly, but I didn’t think much of it. I spent the summer driving my car and eventually took the key in to get fixed. When I brought it in, they found out they had to redo the entire electrical system. I took it in October and it was in the shop for 7 days. Then, I go out of town for a little and come back in November to a completely dead car that will not start, even with jumping it. I had to get the car towed to the dealership and they replaced the battery. They had my car for, thankfully, just one day. When I get back in December, I have more electrical issues. The check engine light is on, the Automatic emergency breaking system was going on and off, and traction control kept disabling. I took it in to the dealership, they had it for 7 days and could not find the issue.
When it comes to the battery, they explained that I need to have somebody start my car and drive it every few weeks. So I make sure somebody does that for me. My car was driven on Sunday and was dead 11 days later. We jumped it, drove it around, and it was dead again 2 days later. I can not have an $80,000 car that is unreliable the way that this one is. I am on the verge of getting a lawyer, but I wanted to know if I’m the only one with these issues. I hate having my car towed and spending days getting repaired. It‘s just added wear and tear to the car and, in my opinion, the Hyundai service team is careless (one of the mechanics scratched my seat with tools he had in his back pocket). But, I guess that’s unrelated...
