  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I had been listening to the CD player in my 2015 3.8. I parked the car, turned off the audio system, shut off the ignition and locked the car. After restarting the car I received the following error message "This app is still initializing. Please wait and try again later". Does anyone have any ideas on what to do or is this one of those things that may fix itself after a while? Thanks.

ER:confused:

Just to follow-up on my situation, the problem resolved itself. I parked the car for about 30 minutes, restarted and no more error message.

How long after restarting the car did you get the error message? I don't know why, but mine sometimes takes a couple of seconds longer to start up than others. If it does, just wait a few more seconds for it to initialize.

When I was getting the error message, it appeared immediately after re-starting the car. The situation has not recurred....yet.

If it was right after you started the car, then the system was still starting up. I've never timed mine, but I wouldn't worry unless it routinely takes longer than about 30 seconds to start up. Also, just because it displays the map doesn't mean that all apps are fully initialized.
