As many of you now, the G70 and stinger share a ton of mechanical components. This is great because G70 owners, like myself, have access to a wealth of aftermarket parts driven primarily by demand from the Stinger community. However, due to the shorter wheelbase Stinger exhausts do not fit the G70. Aside from a fully custom exhaust, there aren’t many options for the Genesis, and they all caused around $3000. The pre-facelift G70 factory exhaust is definitely sport tuned, but leaves something to be desired for us enthusiasts. I’m coming from a 2015 Genesis Sedan 5.0 which I installed valved cutouts on just before the muffler. That Tau V8 was so easy to make sound good, but the Lambda II V6 takes a lot more effort. I was considering the ARK GRiP since it does some black magic to the exhaust gas and sounds the best. Between the price and loudness, I opted for a valved system over the ARK. Only problem, these are still $3000, more than I’m willing to spend. I remember seeing videos showing where valvetr0nic gets their exhausts and decided to try there (Alibaba). With no other options I decided to take a chance, Columbus did. There were a few listings for G70 exhausts, but they all looked identical. Went with the ING brand linked here.

After ordering the exhaust they kept me posted on the build status and shipping. I purchased the expedited shipping and the product arrived in about a month. It came with the resonated mid pipe, valved muffler sections, electronic valves, controller, module, remote, wiring (power wire and connector for each valve), and hardware (4x gaskets, 10x bolt, nut and washers).
So far I just put on the muffler section and it exceeds my expectations. Check out the sound clips.

It’s a valved exhaust which uses electronic butterfly valves to either send exhaust through a muffler or bypass it. With the valves closed it’s a bit quieter than stock when cruising around and no drone. With the valves open, exhaust bypasses the muffler turning up the volume. This system has a small resonator which cleans up the sound when the valves are open, I circled in red in one of the pictures. The one downside is how restrictive it is with valves closed. You can hear a loud whooshing noise if you get above 4000 rpm with the valves closed. I attribute it to small leakage through the valve, sharp angle between muffler/main pipe, and a more restrictive muffler.

Compared to my previous valves, the remote is way nicer. Outside ring is metal, which gives it a nice hand feel, and the design looks sharp. Kinda looks familiar, doesn’t it?
