  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thank you for the quick response, you are on it Trixie.

Yea Z Plan is really good, but I need(should) know an employee to sponsor you. I have a few employee numbers but I am not sure what validation they do. Are all vehicles available on Z plan even though they don't show on the website? Or is Hyundai restricting employees as well due to inventory?

I think my best bet is M Plan as it is available to the general public as long as live in a "certain area". But its locked me down to a 21 G80 and I don't think I need that much car. I've generated a certificate and was going to take it to a local dealer to see if they can honor it, otherwise a drive to Michigan isn't a bad deal at all for 11k off a car.
Unfortunately you have to search by zip code. Unaware of any restrictions. I would call individual dealership to see if they participate in the plan.

I contacted the Circle plans group on July 7, 2021. This is the reply I received:

Please be advised that Circle program is temporarily closed due to low inventory

And we do not have an ETA at this moment.

I have access to all plans and pricing (A, Z, M, V). The issue is it is severely lacking cars, only 21 G80 and sometimes a 21 G90 depending on the plan. A plans typically return no pricing data. If there is anyone more familiar with how to use these plans and tools can you please explain? Is it that no other cars are eligible?

I was wanting to get a 22 G70 3.3t prestige.
What is the difference between all of those?

A-Plan: Vendor, Associated business, or group(AARP,Uber) that has worked out a deal with Hyundai to provide a discount to its members or employees. Between 7-10% off depending on the car.
Z-Plan: Employee discount - For employees of dealerships and I believe can be shared with family and maybe friends. Between around 19-22% off depending on the car.
M-Plan: Available to customers in certain zip codes, Detroit MI and Toledo OH. This is because many in that area work for US automakers and they get huge discounts on American cars so in order to compete Hyundai also gives between 15-19% off depending on the car
V-Plan: Ford Diesel Incentive - I have no idea, but the discount is crap, maybe like 2-4% off.
O-Plan: Employee discount extended to customers to move old inventory to make room for new.

SPECULATIVE:
HMM/HMA Corporate discount: You need to sign in so I have no idea, but I suspect even larger discounts.

Gotta have a guy. 😎
What is being implied here? That employees can extend their discount to "friends" or that you don't have to be in Michigan for M-Plan. I suspect both of these are plausible, especially the M-Plan, I did call a local dealer and it seems like they didn't WANT to do it, not that they couldn't.

I am in no way an expert and am open to corrections, everything I know is the culmination of 3 hours of research starting at 12a... its just one thing led to another and I kept getting further into the circle system.

I also loosely have a guy... my guy has a guy, which is sub optimal.

For a year or more there was a person active on this board from Huntsville, Alabama (I believe) who provided Circle certificates for buyers who had a targeted vehicle. r_spec was the name here. This was on the G70 forum. We were his "friends". He was generous and helped many create the best deal and put more Genesis cars on the road. Was his action supported by the company? Was he supplier, manufacturer, or other relationship? No one knew. We were so happy and grateful for the assistance. I recall him fondly myself.
Check the posting history of r_spec in 2019 and see for yourself what he offered. He has withdrawn from activity here.

Ha, just some Chicago levity. 🙂

Do you know what plan he was creating certificates under? This may help me narrow down how I can finesse the system. Because it seems like there is a plan out there that has no limits and no checks. Sounds like A plan to be honest.

I got a Circle A from him.

Does anyone know if dealerships are honoring the circle discount again? I just checked logged in and noticed that the 2022 G70 is now showing up on Plan E.

What’s E? Didn't see that one mentioned previously.

Plan E is for employees and direct family. I also have access to plan O for friends and extended family and noticed that the 2022 G70 and Santa Cruz are offered on E but not showing up on O.

Is that for any model/trim or specific ones?

I believe just certain models. The Palisade is still not on the list but the Santa Cruz is. The G70 is the only vehicle on the Genesis list.

Dealers have the option of accepting these plans or not. It’s not a requirement, at least when I made my purchase it was not. My dealer did accept circle A with no issues for my 2020 G70 purchase. Made buying extremely easy.

Yes, recommended to call and ask if they participate. Circle A is a beautiful thing.

If prices show up when you select the car, it is working. I was told just a few days ago, which I have confirmed, the 2022 G70 is also eligible for Plan Z (Employee).

I would be interested to see how the prices compare on E and O to Z.

Are you sure they have the option to decline this? The verbiage on the certificate that Hyundai gives you seems to suggest that the dealer MUST honor the price. Hyundai gives you a certificate for a specific VIN number from the list of eligible cars and tells you what dealer to go to. Also when you click support, 'Hyundai Circle wants to make the car buying process as easy as possible, if you have any difficulty with your car purchase, contact us immediately...'.

See below. Also includes current employee price on the 2022 g70.
