After reading the sticky post in this forum concerning its purpose, I thought I would post about my experience buying my 4.6 Genesis.
City Hyundai of Tallahassee is a Hyundai only, branded store.
If the "Genesis buying experience is supposed to be special" as the Hyundai claims, then my experience at City Hyundai meets the definition. I was greeted by the head sales manager who knew I was coming to the store in advance. He personally introduced me to the salesman I had spoken with over the phone and then excused himself so he could go get the general manager for the store. He returned and introduced the GM who was pleasant and cordial. None of folks were selling me anything. They were simply being wonderful hosts. When I would ask a question about something they would respond with the appropriate answer. This was largely due to the fact that I was already sold on the car and they knew that, but there was still no hard selling and I appreciated that.
I was really impressed by my treatment as a guest rather than a sales target. That made all the difference to me.
I traveled 2.5 hours to buy this car from this dealer and avoided four dealers that were closer. I offered my money to two dealers and told a third I was a guaranteed sale all on the same day. They all either ignored me or were literally too busy with "a trade show" to take my call. When I spoke with City Hyundai they wanted my business and treated me like a guest when I went have them talk me through things.
Some of you may be interested in what kind of "deal" I got or "how much I paid for stuff". That's a different discussion for a different time.
I was very pleased with City Hyundai and would recommend you consider buying there if you're within driving distance.
