If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi All,

I went in to my local trusted garage today (not the dealership) for an alignment, and received a phone call shortly after dropping the car off. I was told that they couldn't do the alignment because it was discovered that my left front coil spring has damage ("a broken piece") at the bottom, as does my right rear coil spring! I have no idea how this could have happened without me noticing something change in the ride feel... but what do I know.

Anyway, the parts aren't listed with his suppliers. I'm afraid to even ask the dealership for a quote, although I WILL call tomorrow. It's also advisable to replace all 4, rather than just those 2 - so that makes matters worse $$$.

Can anyone point me towards coil springs for a 2009 Genesis 3.8L V6? I've been searching but can't find anything. It's apparently just the springs themselves that have the damage. Maybe there's an aftermarket brand that makes some that will fit just fine.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for the quick response. I had found another source in the meantime, but this link has better prices... then I see "we do not ship internationally" :( I should have noted that I am in Canada. Dang..

It looks like they do, upon checkout! Prices are closer to the other site I found... if they are less on shipping, it may be the best bet. I'll have to call for a quote. Thanks.

Edit: $80USD for shipping :(

Does anyone have experience with the following retailer?: http://www.hyundaiaccess.com/aboutus.aspx

Edit: Oh great.. I test out the order page and get this error: Because of increased costs to process and ship International orders, we have a $999999.00 minimum on all International orders.

Sounds legit....
