If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is there any coilover systems for the 2013 sedan model out there? Im looking and i can not find a reputable company that makes anything for a sedan.... I see the ark lowering springs but my cousin says that lowering springs will mess up the oem suspension...
ONE MORE THING... WILL 20" RIMS FIT WITHOUT ANY MODIFICATION?

Seriously you couldn't do a search on "coilovers"?

20s will fit given the proper wheel width and offset + correct tire size. Again do a search and you'll find this has already been discussed.

So you're looking to buy junk $1,000 coilover (basically all that's available) instead?

Megan Racing, BC Racing, SMA, Garcia Factory

Not many options and like the other post said use the search feature...

20's will fit without modification but will look like garbage... 20's even with a drop will look like crap if your wheel specs aren't correct but that's a whole other conversation

alright guys. thanks for the replies.. helps out a lot. i was searching through the web and most of the stuff that pops up is the ark lowering springs... i rather have coilovers but ill take a look into those companies that was listed in this thread.

im new to these forums and what not...

Welcome to the madness.

I was looking at megan racing coilovers and they are specific for 2009-12. will they fit on the 2013?
other say 2009+ so im guessing that it will fit...such as the sma and bc racing. I dont know if i should trust these. i looked into those bilstein and i can not pay that price to import them here. but anyways thanks for the help nsxnext and xiaphin. i will wait... i think i might wait for more afteramarket products.

Sadly with a new design coming out shortly what you see now is basically all that's out there.

man.... i just bought this car too... like 2 weeks ago.. I had a few plans but i guess i will work with what i got. how do you like the new 2015 design... i think it will grow on me.. the grill kind of reminds me of a ford fusion or focus... lol

Er, those other brands were the junk coilovers I was talking about.

Over damped, under valved, lack of travel, poorly performing, poor reliability, and shitty ride. Coilovers worth more than their weight in dirt don't run cheap. And those that are cheap ($500-$1,500) aren't worth your time.

u got any other suggestions? or should i just keep it the way it is? i was talking to my cousin and he was suggesting the bc racing. if those are only the choices i have, which one would yall choose?

I would probably try springs personally if you can't do the Bilsteins. BC BR coilovers are not well matched together and in other cars can't historically hold up to light track use (in off-the-shelf, non-custom specs that is). A coilover that can't hold up to the use that is the entire purpose of a coilover shouldn't exist IMHO. They have no R&D behind them. They are essentially random parts from a collective parts bin thrown together. People who buy into BC and their associated brands (BC makes Megan coilover for the record) tend to buy them because they don't know what makes a good suspension and look into price only or listen to the uninformed advice of others who made that same decision before them.

As the car gets cheaper and more affordable for younger buyers (like after the 2nd gen comes out) it's possible to see more aftermarket parts. Not guaranteed, but not implausible either.

brfatal, thanks for the input... really really needed... i dont want to install cheap coilovers and potentially ruin my car... i have reached out to eibach and tein for support. they said they will look into it and see if their R&D side of the family has done anything to support the genesis sedan community. who ever is reading this, if yall could, contact some more reputable compaines are demand some coilovers from these guys... we gotta stay strong and push it upon them to make some for us...

alright, i looked into garcia factory and they have air suspensions and looks like they are legit. anyone have seen any of them on the genny? they are located in korea.

The company has someone who posts here.

Bilstein does not make a coilover for the sedan. Check this out. Quoted from this thread http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=11391&page=3&highlight=bilstein

Did a little research on this website and the offerings for the Genesis from Bilstein (a division of ThyssenKrupp). I emailed with the Customer Sales Relations group in Mooresville, NC who put me onto:

Jose Gonzalez
Segment Product Manager – Tuning/Performance

ThyssenKrupp Bilstein of America
14102 Stowe Drive
Poway CA 92064
United States

I asked Jose if there was a way to import these items or if there was support for them in the US. He had already dealt with a customer in the US who had ordered from that particular site. His response:

"I recently dealt with a person in the US that has bought a coilover kit from this site. The parts are Bilstein in name only. The customer I spoke with had a few issues with the fitment and quality of the kit. The attached photos show that the design and quality of the product is not like anything we offer, the website images for that kit are generic. We will not import and support Bilstein Korea product.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards,

Jose Gonzalez"

While I wish it were otherwise, it looks like these may not be the genuine article. With the manufacturer claiming they have no products for the Genny, and that the items shown are not genuine Bilstein, I think I will have to look elsewhere for satisfaction.

Sorry to be a buzzkill on this thread. I am as disappointed as anyone. Bilsteins rocked on my Volvo's and Mercedes'.

Original poster did not include the photos unfortunately.

I have the only US Garcia Factory dealers contact info. E-mail and cell. If you would like to have it let me know. I was about to pull the trigger on air ride but have decided to wait a bit. He's a nice guy. Don't think he is not the same guy who posts on here as Garcia Factory but i could be wrong.

Air components have a 3-week lead time so I bet the coils are the same.
