  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Complete Power Loss

Check out this video, the perfect fix for mine. Essentially, shim the positive post of the battery terminal.
I've heard that the fuseable link box is hot garbage... prob not a good idea to keep heavy items in that area either.

I had a total loss of power shortly after buying the car in Feb. 2016 with under 500 miles on the odometer going south on I95 at 70 mph. Lost the power steering and the dash went dark.

Took it to the dealer in Savannah, GA. His mechanic inspected the car and found that the alternator connection was cross-threaded at the factory causing the power to intermittently disconnect and reconnect with the changing vibrations from the road surface. Had to replace the alternator. Good luck on getting your car safe again.

It happened again so that is obviously not it. Dealer time.
I was having exactly the same problem. Intermittent Total power loss. For me, when I rocked the module on top of the Positive Post, I got power back. I just took the module off and sure enough, the clamp on the post was loose. The only problem is that I can't see how to tighten the clamp. It slide over the post and has on bolt to secure the module, but it doesn't tighten the clamp. It's a strange configuration.
