Okay, so Genesis has flopped again. My car won't be affected by the 3G issue.
Also, they are apparently using the Hyundai link to test VINs - the one Mcc posted. Several typos.

Bluelink services will be discontinued for certain 2012-2019 models of vehicles. Find out if your model can continue with the service after the software update.
