  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

We recently heard about how many miles owners are changing oil at, how about prices? I used to pay $19.95 for an oil and filter change but today it came to $40.84 or double the previous amount. The dealer I have been using was bought out by a Ford/Dodge dealer a couple of weeks ago and all prices are being evaluated:)

First oil change i got was free...but the regular prices at my dealer is $37.99 or something like that...so i guess with tax and everything around 40?

I asked about that at the dealer I've been seeing about a new Genesis. If I supply the oil, the filter is $10.79 and the labor is $12. Taxes extra.

I didn't ask about what it would be if they supplied the oil as I plan on bringing in Mobil 1.

By the way, what is the crankcase capacity of a 5.0??

My dealer has a perpetual coupon on their service website for $19.99 oil change. Regular price is $36.99 which is the same as what most quick-lube places charge.

The manual says 7.19. I bring the dealer a 5-quart jug and 2 quarts of Mobil 1.

Since you will be waiting awhile for the car, you might want to get an online PDF version of both the manuals in advance of delivery.

Free oil changes for life, but I have the dealer use their Mobil synthetic....so for the upgrade I paid $35 last oil change.
