  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Couldnt take that silver Grill any longer (my Genesis isnt Silver)

That white stuff is called snow, hopefully it will all gone by mon , the weather is going to be in the 60's sat & sun , i might take my goldwing out & make my genesis jealous

Awesome look, Madmoe. I have a sapphire blue Gen also, and might make mine into a twin. :D Thanks for the idea!

The painted grills look pretty nice, but I like the factory grill with my Cabernet Red Pearl....especially when it's clean.......

Dan :>)

OK well since i got alot of positive reviews & feedback for painted my grill and hood garnish i thought about taking it one step further by painting the lower grill below the license plate, honestly i dont know why i didnt have it painted when i did the grill that was the only thing left black in front of my car , my painter who did my grill was sick so i took it to MAACO & had it done for $75.00 & it came out real nice, Now i am finally happy (and finished) with my front of my baby (my wife says she wished i would treat her like im treating my car :-)

I'm not a fan of many appearance mods, but this one looks great.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I went for quotes!!!!

Well, I stopped at 3 paint shops for a quote for the grill.

1. Highest price = $288

2. Middle price = $250

3. Lowest price = $200

Think I'll go with the happy medium. The shop with the lowest cost does great paint work, but has insurance scams against them and also do not take good care of your vehicle.

Highest priced shop does good work, but the happy medium also does great work.

ADDITION: It's funny....the guy at the lowest priced shop said he saw my car last Saturday early afternoon driving around (he didn't know it was me at the time) and said it looked mean as hell especially with the exhaust sound and tips and lip spoiler all on black. He said he had no idea what the hell the car was, so he went home on the internet and yahoo'd "Genesis car" which led him to the Hyundai hompage and he was dumbfounded that the car was made by Hyundai! Again, I love this car!!!

I'm still driving my car now, and probably will for another month maybe, but will store it over the winter and will have it painted first thing in the spring. And replace my amp for my subs. Their way under powered:D

Looks very nice!

Can I ask a favor? Could you take a couple shots of it from a distance? Close up is great for showing the detail, but it's hard to tell if this change alters the overal appearance of the front of the car.

Here's a pic of the ones we are doing here also look at my pics in my albums

Lose the front license plate and it will look twice as good. I have not had a front plate in years

Damm that looks good, I might paint my Grill, Oh I forgot we did that already LOL HEY EVERYONE CHECK OUT MY PICTURES ON CHRIS GREEN, THANKS TO MADDMOE

Looks great!! Was it very difficult to remove the grill?? And the top trim piece?

Great pics, how did you take the grill out

To get your grill out you have to remove your front bumper, its not a big job but if your not into working on cars i wouldnt try it , let someone who knows what they are doing, do it. once you remove the front bumper you can get to the grill & the lower grill , the hood garnish is mounted on the hood & that piece is fairly easy to remove, good luck

OK, this looks the way Hyundai should have done it from the factory.

I agree since I had mine painted, I feel it matches the car much better, but also give's it a more pissed off look such as AMG or Braubus.
