  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Cruise Control Issue - Collision Warning False Positive

Did you get video of it occurring? If not, do that and then talk to them about liability should you get into a serious accident.
I did. They told me I could either drive it with the flaws, or wait for a dealer loaner and they’d diagnose it when they could. I’m very unhappy.

Final update: Replacement of the radar resolved the issue.

They took 6 weeks to replace mine, it’s still in the shop right now.

6 weeks to figure it out? All they need to do is remove the bumper, remove a clip and some screws, put the new radar on and maybe recalibrated.... 60-90 minutes!

I know… they’re not a great OEM I don’t think. 3 of the weeks it sat was on their back lot waiting for HMA’s legal department to figure out my car was towed in…. HMA scheduled the tow.

Seems the real struggle is with American dealers and Genesis USA. I'm in Canada and have had two G70s with great service overall.

I got my car back today. They cocked it up bad enough they have to replace the bumper because they broke tabs off of it. So I get to drive my car for 2 weeks with a loose bumper while a new one is delivered. The radar was replaced, today marked 7 weeks at the dealership - on my drive home the car slowed 80->60mph on its own, then sped back up to 80. This was on straight, flat, and smooth roads with clear conditions (417 south in Orlando). I’m quite finished with this car.

Wow. I don't blame you.

That would frustrate any owner. Yike!

I'm glad our 6MT has what we wanted and none of the stuff we don't need. My son and I went to test drive a loaded '23 Sport Prestige 3.3TT a couple of weekends ago. Super nice car, but both us walked away thinking the same thing... we sure don't need any of the "extras", like HUD, sunroof, and power trunk. Just more stuff that adds weight and potentially go wrong.

Just following up. I know this is older. Add me to the list. '22 3.3 prestige. Car will hit the brakes and announce collision warning, on the interstate with NO CARS AROUND. CAR IS (VERY) CLEAN. NO CURVES. NO WEATHER ISSUES. NO SUN EXPLANATION. Perfectly smooth, straight highway. Car will hit the brakes for no reason. This has been happening periodically for over a year. Stop asking questions about what could have caused it outside of the system just fu#%king up. We love the car but at his point with a baby on the way, there's a good chance we're saying goodbye to it. I could overlook the tarnished door trim chrome, seats not going to chosen driver/user without switching back multiple times, the sun roof losing one touch capability, but this is too much.

Front radar replacement. Easy job.

I have only had mine do this a few times. I did have the replace the front right sensor. On a side note, the dealer polished my door tarnished door trim for free and looks like new. Maybe ask if they will do it.

The one touch sun roof is fixed if you reset it. Mine was the same and works fine.

How do you reset it? I've been on google and forums many times looking for the answer. I've tried a few suggestions i've found, but none of them worked. (mostly just all the way forward and all the way back multiple times)

Ok thanks. Wife texted me today and said it happened ELEVEN times in 70 miles driving home from Dr. appt.
