  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys. When i adjust my exact seat position i find out that the dead pedal is too far from my left foot, and it affect my comfort, is there any possible way that i can fix that, shall i put a thick carpet on it or what to do to make it near to my foot?

Get some longer legs or move your seat forward (and move steering wheel forward). Mine is set just right for me.

Yeah, it is bad. I think the problem is just youthful inexperience. Hyundai did not hire the right drivers and test on the right tracks. The car has lots of little issues from that root cause. Not bad things, just things that the other mature car makers (in this class) have known for decades. I bet they fix it in the 3rd generation.

Try:- a couple of blocks of wood superglued together then glue to the existing dead pedal..
I cannot believe that with all the adding of winged badges & pimping people are doing to their "G"'s someone has to ask the Dead Pedal ?..................
Lucky these cars are not the early MG's, they would need a Forum just to open the bonnet (hood)..:eek::eek:

It fits just perfect in my coupe but not in this car.
Go figure, Hyundai?

You guys must all be short people. I've seen a lot of complaints about the dead pedal's distance from the driver. From those posts you would think their foot is just kind of dangling out there in space while you're driving. That's the visual I get at least.

I'm 6'2" with shoes and find it just fine. My wife is 5'2" and also doesn't complain, but I only let her drive when I'm intoxicated so maybe I don't hear her complaints. ;)

Here's my dead pedal, a hunk of 2x4 worked over a little, 4 screws, 2 coats of truck bed paint, it fits my 29" inseam leg just right.

I think WOWCool here has already patented that. ,-)

That's not bad. We have the same inseam so maybe you can make another one for a small fee :o.

I tried that but it restricted my foot operated parking brake! I cant push it sufficiently with that!
