  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was crusing down some back roads this evening, when out of the blue a deer runs out infront of me. I turn to avoid a head on, and turned too hard and slammed the side of her in a ditch. I was able to drive her to the dealership, but there is a lot of vibration comming from the rear driver side, not to sure if its the struts or what. Worst feeling I have ever had knowing that she was messed up. Thankfully I was not hurt and there is not body or paint damage on the Genny. I have already filed a claim and hope to be back on the road soon.

Bummer. Hope she's back on the road soon.

Sorry to hear. You made the right choice of avoiding the deer. A colleague of mine hit a deer a few years back. His car was a wreck: Bumper, hood, windshield, quarter panel - all wrecked. Deer fur ended up in the back of the car - inside! He had cuts and bruises, etc. Not pretty.

Hope your Genny gets fixed up good as new!

Just an update. The dealership said that both rims are bent, blew out the rear tire, needs and alignment, and they are going to clean the undercarage. Now I now how they really make their money, 599.99 for a rim! All and all the total is 1559.62. Good part is I will have her back in two days because I paid for it already and USAA can deal with paying me what ever they want. I just want her back!
