Yea go to the Mapnsoft website and make an account and order the update. It'll be delivered to you.

Okay, did this but downloaded it by using USA for country. This because using Canada told me that there were no updates available.

The download took all night but when I got to my laptop this morning the message displayed that the installation was completed. Popped out the SD card, re-inserted it in the car and now I get this message: "Failed to Authenticate Navigation". I followed every step of the instructions and everything looked normal until this.

Anyone seen this message and if so what did you do?

I'm in the US and briefly saw that same message when I upgraded (just took delivery of my car on the 8th). I allowed it to continue and the installation proceeded without further incident and it works fine now.

How did you allow it to continue? Mine just never starts the update.

Since it seemed strange that it took hours to download last night I tried it again and this time it took only 20 minutes so I figured it would work this time. Nope...still fails to authenticate.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Order the SD card from mapnsoft.

Its probably cause you downloaded the US copy, so the VIN doesn't add up properly.

I never thought to choose USA. I chose Canada and the only option it gave me was to order it from them. I can give it a try too, if I get the same error then we know why.

I can't remember if I had to "ok" on the prompt or if it went away on its own. I was definitely slightly alarmed to see it, but somehow I was able to continue the process? Sorry I am not documenting my steps better; it wasn't something I was paying a lot of attention to at the time.

As Bhavie stated it must have been selecting the US download that caused this. For some reason today I had the option to download using Canada and that's what I did and all is good now. The original problem I posted about has also been fixed.
