  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've been using AMMO products for over a year and I love them. What does everyone else use to keep their cars looking great?

Mostly Meguiar's. If Walmart doesn't sell it, I usually won't buy it unless someone else has it on sale.

Detailed Image has everything an obsessive compulsive could want. I'm partial to Poorboy's World products for the outside and Leatherique for the inside. They have good videos and Q&As.

Meguiar's Ultimate or Gold Class wash
Meguiar's Ultimate Polish/Liquid Wax
Lexol Cleaner/Conditioner
Invisible Glass
RainX

Am going to get some Mequiar's Auto Degreaser to replace the Lexol cleaner but will continue with the conditioner.

I use a lot of Meguiar's detailer line myself. Get most of my stuff from autogeek or auto detailing solutions. Been wanting to try stuff from chemical guys or poorboys but everything I have is gallon size and takes forever to finish. Maybe I should detail my cars more often.

I'm a big fan of the Chemical Guys products. They're priced reasonably, and available on Amazon with Prime shipping.

I love Ammo's (Larry) YouTube channel. I've learned a ton from him!

Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash
Mequiar's 2.0 Tech wax
Mequiar's Ultimate Quick Wax
Lexol PH Leather Cleaner and Lexol PH Leather Conditioner for seats and leather inserts
Meguiar's Leather Conditioner for the dash and interior trim
Mothers Back to Black for exterior trim and seals
Rain-X 2 in 1 for exterior windows
Meguair's Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner for interior windows
Chemical Guys Jet seal and Wheel Wax for my rims
Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel

lol my list is identical to Focusin's, with two additions:

  • Turtle Wax Bug/Tar remover
  • Armor All Tire Dressing

I didn't realize chemical guys stuff is available on Amazon prime. That's a game changer

Chemical Guys Purple Maxi-Suds II Wash Soap
Chemical Guys P40 Detailer
Chemical Guys New Car Shine Dressing (for lower grill insert, black accents, seals, engine covers, and occasionally tires)
Chemical Guys Jet Seal
Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax

Meguiar's Ultimate Compound
Meguiar's Ultimate Polish

Griot's Garage Tire Dressing (last few drops left =( )
Griot's Garage Interior Cleaner
Griot's Garage Leather Care

Stoner's Invisible Glass

Mixed Griot's and CG microfibers

EDIT: Almost forgot the cherry on top: Chemical Guys Stripper Scent Air Freshener

i use most this stuff on the list above... need a good leather cleaner and conditioner? someone mentioned Zainos but now i see Griots and Lexal

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I use the Lexol cleaner but as the annoying guy says, it has it's limitations.

If you keep the leather generally clean then Lexol is all you need but if you go long periods without, then the All Purpose diluted is probably better.

I would spray it into a cloth to apply rather than spraying directly.

Here's a video where a guy cleans perforated leather:

I should add that Lexol is cleaner for actual leather so it tends to be gentler when cleaning.

Genesis leather like many others, is clearcoated so you're not actually cleaning the leather but the clearcoat instead so a stronger cleaner is okay when dealing with buildup like dye transfer from jeans etc...

so the Megs all purpose should be diluted? or is it already diluted?

Yes, according to the annoying guy, the All Purpose should be diluted for interior use. He gives instructions in several of his videos.

I uses:
Meguiar's Clay Bar
Wolfgang 3.0 Total Swirl Remove
Wolfgang 3.0 Fine Polish
Wolfgang 3.0 Sealant
Stoners Window Cleaner
Stoners Tire Shine
Meguiar's Interior Quick Detailer
Meguiar's Leather Wipes
Folex Carpet Cleaner(Great for taking salt stains out)

I'm looking at switching polishing compound. Do you guys really like Chemical Guys? I have been researching them along with Griots. Winter takes a huge beating on my car so I need to buy new stuff now.

Going to give that Stoners Tire Shine a try... ive been using the glass clear for about 5 years now and love it...
