Disappointing Hyundai response re: iPod flaws

I'd say that Ford's Sync system is superlative as far as iPod integration is concerned. Acura's current generation of vehicles has superlative iPod integration. I test drove the Buick Enclave and was impressed with its iPod integration.

Every one of these vehicles displays both song and artist (and some also display album and/or playlist), each allows you to shuffle songs within a playlist, and each makes it easy to see where you are on a playlist--the song you're playing is displayed rather than the first song in the playlist (which is the default on the Genesis--after a couple of days, trying to find where you are on the playlist can be quite frustrating).

If you set your iPod to SHUFFLE before plugging it into the cable, the system will continue to shuffle the songs. Problem is, if you switch to a different song manually, you have to go through the process of unplugging, setting to SHUFFLE again, and plugging in again.

Yes that works but unfortunately it also disables your voice command feature...

JUST CRAP AT LEAST AROUND NYC ..... I WANTED TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS AND GOT WHAT I PAID FOR !!! BMW HERE I COME 18 MONTHS TILL I GET MY NEW BMW 535I CAN'T WAIT ...GOOD LUCK !!

UPDATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..... HYUNDAI SENT ME A DEALER CREDIT GOOD FOR 6 MONTHS $250.00 .... AND SAID MORE OR LESS WE CAN'T FIX IT HAVE A NICE DAY !!!!! I guess it's something but HYUNDAI can kiss my ass I'm done and will never buy another HYUNDAI again.

Why are you using an Ipod in a vehicle that has a USB port for music storage incorporating high quality sound? My 16 year old cousin uses an Ipod in his rusty old Dodge Neon Just sayin'......

This poster is just polluting multiple threads with this garbage. It is the same rant he has been using for awhile.

I too am excited that he will be getting a 535I! Then he can throw-up all over the BMW forums!

Hey there ZAKSDADDY... I guess a v6 3.8 does not have the same system as the v8 4.6 and you are very lucky ....but I'm sure you would not be so bold if your car was doing all the stuff that mine is ...so don't talk till your on my side of the fence and spend the real bucks for a v8 !!! ! DO THEY STILL MAKE BUICKS? SMUCK !!!

I have the 2012 Rspec (17 speaker version) and have had no Ipod or Iphone problems with music. Well, actually, my daughter has no problems, and she says the integration is easier than what other parents have. The only limitations that has bothered me are (1)the minimal information about each song on the screen, and (2) the inability to search for songs. Regarding (2), if you have a lot of songs on your iPod, it's a pain to scroll through them all.

My previous Fords & VW's had quirks in their Radio/Nav/BT/Audio set ups..

Was interested in seeing how long ago this thread was started and years later find a complaint about the minimal information (item 1 above, also previous page for the guy who has 43 versions of I am the walrus) that I find a real PITA.

Also - while not an Ipod thing - the Track 1, Track 2, Track 3 when playing DVDs.
