Do basic OBD2 scanners work on 2022/23 G70s?

I see there are a few versions of the XTOOL - D7, D7S, D8S, D9S.. Is the one you have the D8S? It's $719CDN on Amazon.

Hi yes it’s D8s but you can get it cheaper from china but that’s upto the buyer.
I haven’t played around with it yet as I got sudden issue with my back, I will update if it can do change anything but me personally I bought it for diagnostic purposes and to use the special functions

I did look at it. My model doesn't have the programming feature so sadly no. (I was really hoping it did). I can see it, just can't change it...

I had a Quick Look and noticed it doesn’t have as much features as mine, I never looked at everything but I looked for example instrument cluster, mine can do variant coding but the one you mentioned can’t do it . This is a huge problem with free lifetime update diagnostic tools, they don’t do as much updates and things are missing compared to other ones. So I don’t think it’s a game changer.

Edit: also no key programming option for any vehicle, mine can’t do Genesis as far as I know but can do some vehicles

I hooked my Launch X431 Pro to my 2019 G80 and found no available coding options that weren’t already available in the car’s dashboard menus. The Launch can do maintenance items like resetting oil change reminders, programming TPMS sensors, etc., and I was able to program the car for a new key fob, but the car is locked down pretty tight as far as coding goes.

According to the launch vehicle coverage, the G80 does have support though it seems more limited then the G70.

Nice. I hear Europe for the G70 is excellent - much better suspension settings for comfort and sport. Do you plan to try changing it to another region?

I might try it but I doubt my backside would be able to tell a difference.
