  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Do you suppose the Genesis designers liked the Audi A7?

ya its a kinda full size 4 door coupe. only difference is that the genesis will keep running problem free while the audi suffers endless repairs and becomes a money pit.

it amazes me what bmw benz audi owners will take in terms of horrible reliability.

See - other than the sloped tail I actually see a LOT of similarity in the exterior design between the A7 and the G2. I even see similarity to the BMW 6 GC - particularly the side profile with the long hood deck and the short but still defined trunk deck.

to all g1 owners, u know u love the G2. just face it. hyundai nailed it.

the g1 doesnt have that gotta have it factor. its bland and boring...and did they ever fix that wheel hop on the g1 ? u gotta lower it with wheels to make it look somewhat ballsy.

The g2 makes u gotta have it. it is fast becoming many peoples dream sedan.

Can you guys cut it out? Seriously. All this penis waving is not impressing anyone and is only scrolling what would have been a nice discussion to have.
We had, but...

Not even a little bit. The pano roof is the one redeeming quality outside of the Canuck 5.0 AWD. In 'Merica? Pass.

You can see if I have wheel hop, AND admire the much more aesthetically pleasing rear, from the Gen2 V6's standard location...behind other cars.

I submit that those people have really sad dreams, if a 40-50k Korean offering is one of them. It's a wonderful commuter, if the Ford Fusion was simply priced too low and you needed to spend the extra coin.

My new son in law owns an independent garage specializing in Volkswagen\Audi\Porsche repair. Endless flow of money pouring in for him, freakin gold mine he has got there. Seriously.

why are u here in 2nd gen forum, I never go on the 1st gen forum. ah ha! got u !

edit by admin: Sorry, that image is just too wide and this old software doesn't resize images properly. We need to upgrade...

I wonder why Hyundai doesn't advertise and promote the Genesis.....maybe they can't make enough....thoughts?

probably because they really want to sell only Hyundai cars made in USA
.... much better profit in those :)

I've been seeing a lot of commercials for the Genesis sedan lately on TV. It stars a white one, being driven in the rain and avoiding accidents "before the driver can".

I live in northwestern NJ and not only have I not seen a single Genesis commercial, I have never seen another G2 on the road. I'm not the most observant guy, but I think I would have noticed at least a few if they were around. I do see Teslas now and then and newer Sonatas (my former car) are as common as pigeons around here.

It's nice having such a rare and exclusive ride! :-)

I certainly enjoy this also. My estimate is I get to see 1 every month or so.

that is really a great benefit to owning this car. I don't see them on the road often, especially modified.

Speaking of A7's. My son in law shows up yesterday in his new ride. 2016 RS7 with performance package and all the goodies. 605hp 0-60 in 3.3sec. Holy crap is this thing fast.

So, which one is the A7? They look so alike that I can't tell them apart... lol ;)

Thanks for posting - that is wickedly fast! Good looking car too.

Yep they are both very nice. I give the Genesis the win in the rear end department (except for those great looking 6" carbon fibre exhausts.) and the RS a win on the front end. never mind those ordinary wheels on the RS, they are the winter wheels. The summers are really much much nicer.

nice commercial in CA. Very factual per my 14K miles in my G2. Love the car.
Hopeful of sharing my experience if Genesis will run the ads.
A great driving experience.

Beautiful RS7.
What does your son in law think of the Genesis?

I actually think think the Genesis inspired him to go with the RS7. However being younger and a German car only guy, coming from a Porsche that would rattle your teeth, the unreal power of the RS7 and comfort drew him in. The ride is as nice if not nicer than the Genesis if set to comfort. Yes this is a very nice car however no pano roof and no heads up display, cramped rear and small trunk but it does have fold down seats. Goes for more than double the price of a 5.0 AWD Genesis up here which is a measly $62,000.
