Does the G70 has compass in the rearview mirror?

Here's a question for you, assuming they use the same brand for Kia as well. For 2019, Kia removed Home Link on the Sorento in Canada. If I were to get the 2018 mirror, would it work or does Home Link require extra wiring?
Hopefully the transponder is just in the mirror and takes power from the harness!

All the homelink mirrors I’ve played with have the homelink system in the mirror yes. The module Is very small. Maybe 3”x 5”

It depends. On some vehicles it’s a direct swap. On others you have to jump a power wire to power up the module.

I’d have to see the wiring diagrams from both vehicles.

Typically the connectors are the same it’s just a matter of which pins are being used.

I’ve swapped between gm and Toyota and it was plug and play. For Chrysler to a ford I had to move pins. From gm to gm I had to add a pin.

Really need the wire diagrams to know. Hopefully the G70 service manuals will be out soon and someone will be kind enough to share the wiring section.

The G70 hasn’t has a compass in the rearview mirror? Even my ‘12 Hyundai Genesis one has.

I should add that even my new ‘19 Santa Fe haszzes a mirror compass.

It does exist, but IIRC it does NOT display if you are using Nav. with a route on. The compass displays when no route is selected.
