Probably a heads up. I parked, left engine on and windows up, kept phone inside, got out to pay parking meter, and closed the doors. When I returned, the doors were locked! Seems like my dogs were excited and stepped on the interior door lock button. No surprise since they do that all of the time when I'm inside.
However, weird part is that I had the key fob on me....and still could not get in. Door handle button proximity button did not function. Key fob unlock button did not function. I could open the trunk by walking to the back and pressing the car trunk button (key fob trunk button and smart open did not function though). Because my phone was locked inside, I did not try any connected services remote stuff.
This situation raised a lot of questions for me with a few answered in my mind while I was waiting for help. Anyway, mainly a heads up to avoid this. Turn engine off? Keep window rolled down a bit. Don't make your passenger mad at you. Etc. Would like to hear if anyone has similar stories.
