drivers door locking settings

Is there a setting so when i'm driving the drivers door can't be opened by the handle inside the vehicle?

Just curious as my other vehicle will not open when the door is locked by pulling on the inside door handle?

My vehicle is the 2009 3.8 model

Is there some advantage to that? When would you not want to get out by pulling on the handle? Kids in the back seat are another matter.

I seriously doubt there is an option for that because it introduces a safety issue (not being able to get out of the car in an emergency).

Even if this was an option, how would you get out of the car? Through the passenger door? Sunroof?

Like PMC said, options like that are for the rear doors where children may be seated.

i'm not really sure why......just curious as my other vehicle when door is locked it does open if I pull on handle until I unlock the door

Are you asking: If the driver door is locked, is there a way to make the door not open if the door handle is pulled?

But you also added "when I'm driving", so is your question: If the door is locked, and the car is in motion, is there a way to make the door not open if the door handle is pulled?

Not that it really matters at this point. I don't believe the Genesis has either of these.

yes......my other vehicle when i'm driving it and the doors are locked will not open when pulling the door hancle while in operation.....wondering if the GENESIS had a similar setting.
